Wat is de kern van het probleem?

Our gamification software is designed to motivate target audience behavior in multiple industries (from banking to eLearning, HR, sales, consumer app gamification, gamification for health, sports and brands fan engagement, etc). Because of the possibilities so vary, we need to understand our competition in each market segment.

Wat zou de impact zijn indien dit probleem opgelost wordt?

Understanding the competitive landscape in each market segment will impact our marketing (from clear unique value proposition (UVP) to online advertising efforts, SEO, etc), our product (see how our features compare, and what can we do to make our product better), and our growth strategy (what is the next market segment we should focus our efforts on? can we find a blue ocean?)

Waarom dien je deze uitdaging in?

We are an ambitious startup with limited internal resources dedicated to research. We are looking for sharp students to help us with the competition research and analysis, and help us level-up our growth and product strategy.

Wat is er al geprobeerd om dit probleem op te lossen?

We did a 1st-time competition analysis in Sept 2019, and following the results, we decided to focus our got to market strategy on the professional sports organization market segment. Since then, we closed multiple clients in the sector.

Wat zijn de volgende stappen die moeten gebeuren?

It’s all about competition research and analysis for each possible market segment. This implies surveys of the target group, gathering market intelligence from industry reports, finding the competitors in each market segment, and analyzing the SEM/SEO/inbound strategy, how they position their product, what clients they have, what product features and solutions they provide).

Welke resultaten verwachten jullie en in welke vorm?

By the end of the project, we expect a competition report on each potential market segment, we can explore our growth.

Budget:

Marketing tools, internal insights and expertise but also a cool office space in Ghent, will be available in order to reach to best results. On top, as the project progresses and the need is there, additional budget can be allocated to support the success.
