Register your course!
Last academic year, DO! collected almost 100 challenges for teaching staff to choose from.
Every academic year lots of students are working on projects during their studies at Ghent University. We want to help you to as teaching staff to provide relevant project challenges for your students. Call for Challenges matches organizations and teaching staff with each other.
This matchmaking gives students the opportunity to work on a real-life challenge from the professional field, while having the freedom to define the solution that would work best. This gives students a better idea of how things work in companies and gives them valuable hands-on experience.
To further stimulate their entrepreneurial mindset and to promote student entrepreneurship, we encourage students to carry on with the challenges after the course ends, if the agreement with the organisation allow this.
The Call for challenges matchmaking consists of 3 steps. At this moment we are at step 1: collecting courses with an interest.
Step 1: Collecting courses
In the first phase we list all courses or projects at Ghent University with an interest in receiving challenges.
Deadline: 1 May 2021
Step 2: Looking for challenges
In the second phase we look for governments, organisations or companies who have challenges that students can work on.
Deadline: 15 August 2021
Step 3: Matchmaking
Once the challenges are in, the matchmaking can begin. We bring organisations and professors in contact which each other.
During academic year 2021-2022
We are looking for Ghent University project-based courses, projects and events for academic year 2021-2022. The end result of the project should be tangible(e.g. prototype, marketing plan or solution) and with real value for the organization or society in general. Be aware that the focus of the project should be practice-oriented and not research-based.
At DO! we do our best to obtain the best possible match. However, we do not guarantee a match between course and challenge. It is always possible that for certain courses no or not enough challenges are found.
Register your course or project now and let your students work with relevant real-life cases from the professional field!
Deadline: 1 May 2021
